Can a sleep calculator identify my actual sleep stages?
No. This calculator receives clock times and a latency estimate, not physiological measurements. It repeats a fixed interval to produce possible schedules. The actual progression through light sleep, deep sleep and REM changes during the night, so a calculated boundary does not establish that you will be in a particular stage. Treat the output as a planning aid and compare it with how much sleep you have allowed overall.
How should I choose the time-to-fall-asleep setting?
Use a realistic estimate based on your experience rather than assuming the default describes you. The setting simply shifts the suggested bedtime earlier or the wake time later. It cannot diagnose insomnia or other sleep conditions. If difficulty falling asleep, frequent waking or daytime sleepiness persists, discuss it with a healthcare professional instead of repeatedly adjusting the calculator to explain the symptoms.
Does a short option mean I can safely reduce sleep?
No. A neat multiple of a model cycle is not a substitute for sufficient sleep. The shorter options show the arithmetic of the chosen interval, not an individualized recommendation. Choose an appropriate total sleep opportunity for your age and circumstances. If an early alarm leaves too little time, changing the bedtime or schedule is more useful than assuming a cycle boundary cancels the effects of insufficient sleep.
Will a downloaded calendar file set a phone alarm?
A calendar import creates an event in a compatible application; it does not necessarily configure the device clock alarm. Reminder behavior can vary with app settings, permissions, notification modes and time-zone handling. Check the imported date and time and verify the reminder on the device that you will use. For an important wake-up time, set a separate alarm directly.
Do I need an internet connection, and are my inputs uploaded?
An internet connection is required to open tools and refresh a temporary session. Processing stays on your device; the handshake sends a random challenge, not files or text inputs. Libraries, fonts or models may download. Local processing cannot remove risks from an untrusted device or extension.
